Parks and Recreation Commission Public Hearing
The North Little Rock Parks and Recreation Commission will hold a public hearing at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2009, at the North Little Rock Community Center, 2700 Willow Street. The purpose of the meeting will be to get public input concerning Parks and Recreation needs for the city. If you have recreational or park needs or requests you want to address, please call the Parks and Recreation Administration Office at 791-8538 by Wednesday, May 13, 2009 to be placed on the agenda to speak.
May 4 Meeting of Your Neighborhood Association
Please plan to attend our next neighborhood association meeting on May 4 at Crestwood Elementary School cafeteria. The meeting starts at 7:00 PM, but come at 6:30 to meet some neighbors and visit before we get started. Kevin, Judy, Wanda and I, your officers, look forward to getting to know you.
Aldermen Hight and Witcher plan to attend. Two issues, which we will discuss, are Parking districts and parking regulations, which will impact our neighborhood. Monday night the North Little Rock City Council voted to place a moratorium on electronic changeable copy signs until the end of August this year. This will provide time to study the issue and develop an appropriate ordinance to manage the use of this type of sign. Sign companies and businesses interested in this type of sign have gotten organized, and it is important that we be involved in the interest of our neighborhood and communiity.
Hope to see you Monday, May 4, Charlie
